Ok so, I'm going inactive in my church. Only it's not really inactiveness. I just am SO tired of going to boring activities in which we don't even do anything, and I'm just tired of going and feeling lonley, and getting all this crap. So I haven't gone to mutual or church in a while. Well mostly not church because I have been out of town, but my mom makes me go once in a while but I hate it. Gosh what is wrong here?

Hey well Just because Church is boring shouldn't mean you shouldnt go, or whatever. To behonest Ithink your 14 right...Just I want to say that the church doesn't become a big deal to their life til they are a bit older. It happened to me when I was 15 and My testimony was so not there, to be honest I didnt believe the church was true because of some anti mormon stuff and I really got into researching the Lafferty's dont research them! But I didnt know where I was going in life, if there had to be a life after this one! it was kind of scary! But them I realized what the church was andthat was a jump start and now I am going back to church, and the church has helped me through many problems! and now my testimony is strong and I want to go on a mission and i am having problems but I am not going to let it effect me!

Back to your point of veiw, dont completely stop going the 1st time you stop going to church it is in between to come back the next week, the 2nd time its harder to go back then it gets harder! The most important thing also is to take the Sacrament which if you listen to the prayers renews the covenant we have made with our Heavenly Father! So dont suffer because of boringness! I really havent been able to go to Mutual for a while because of work but I still havent missed church other than because of trips for 3 years! Satans a Butt! A Big one at that! So I think you just need to realize why the church is here! It is is help you! Is there a day you Havent thought of the Lord??? That is the question I am asking you....Later!

I completely agree with what Killah_Cam said. For me, church wasn't a big priority until the last year or so. I thought that they just talked about things I had heard about since I was two, and there was nothing else to learn. But that's where I was wrong, because there are so many wonderful things that you can learn, you just have to be in the right mindset. You have to try harder and think about concepts differently than you normally would to get new understandings. If church seems boring (which beleive me, sometimes it does!), don't give up on it completely. Because sometime in your life, you're going to need the gospel and what it teaches to get you through hard times.
Anyway, what helped me to get involved and excited about church was going to Church functions like EFY, Education Week, Youth Conference and Girls Camp. These helped because all of them have wonderful spiritual experiences, but they are also really fun and a nice change from your normal stuff. (Personally, I LOVE Education Week, you should ALL go!!!! It's really cool because you can choose to what classes you go to, and there's an endless amount, but there are also alot directed to the youth, and they are all amazing) Anyway, I know you probably hear this alot, but just keep praying and reading your scriptures, it really will help!

Thank You all so much! I decided that I'm going to change my attitude about going and I'm gonna try harder to really feel the spirit and listen to what is being said. Thank You guys SO much. You have no idea how much I appreciate your advice!
